Welder

A local manufacturer in Sumter, SC is seeking experienced Welders to join the team. This is a full-time position with overtime opportunities.

Schedule:

• Monday - Friday
• 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
• Overtime and some weekends required

Pay:

• $15.50 - $18.00 per hour, based on experience

Job Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret project plans, blueprints, diagrams, and written instructions
• Perform MIG, TIG, and other welding processes based on project needs
• Weld, install metal sheeting, and other components
• Set up workstations and utilize weld fixtures
• Follow setup and operator instructions when preparing and operating welding machines
• Verify fixtures according to master parts or blueprints
• Weld components at or above standard production rate
• Follow all safety procedures and best practices

Qualifications:

• High school diploma/GED preferred
• 1+ year of welding experience in a manufacturing setting preferred
• Current welding certification is a plus
• Experience using power tools
• Must pass an onsite weld test
• Ability to work in hot or cold environments
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in awkward positions
• Reliable transportation required
• Must be able to work scheduled shifts, including overtime and weekends
