Practice Setting and Clinical Scope
This opportunity is set in a bustling regional medical center known for its commitment to patient-centered care. As the sole Urologist, you will manage a wide array of urological conditions, performing procedures such as cystoscopy, vasectomies, prostate biopsies, TURP, ureteroscopy, nephrectomy, cystectomy, and more. With an average patient volume of 20-25 per day and 20-30 surgeries per month, this position promises a stimulating and fulfilling clinical environment.
Schedule and Assignment Details
The position requires a flexible schedule, encompassing both clinic hours from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and call duties, including night call from 5 p.m. to 8 a.m., and occasional 24-hour call shifts. The call schedule is structured as every 1 in 6 days, ensuring a balanced workload. Candidates must be available for a minimum of 3 months of locum coverage, with the potential for ongoing shifts and call responsibilities.
Support and Work Environment
Work alongside a dedicated support team, including 2 registered nurses, a medical assistant, a surgery scheduler, and front office staff. The facility employs the Epic EMR system, ensuring seamless integration into the workflow. You will have the support of a hospitalist team for admissions and will benefit from a collegial work environment that emphasizes teamwork and excellent patient service.
Qualifications
- Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible in Urology (within 0-5 years of residency completion).
- Active Washington State license or ability to obtain one; IMLC considered with LOQ in hand.
- Current ACLS, BLS, and DEA certifications are required or must be obtained if selected.
- Clean malpractice history is highly preferred.
