Traveling Journeyman Electrician

Pay Range: $36.00 - $38.00 per hour, depending on experience, qualifications, and skills.

Outsource is seeking a Traveling Journeyman Electrician to support commercial and industrial projects based out of Abilene, Texas. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of hands-on electrical experience and the ability to travel to various job sites as project demands require. The ideal candidate is a licensed professional who can work independently and as part of a crew to deliver high-quality electrical installations and repairs on schedule.

Job Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, and equipment at various job sites
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams
• Ensure all work complies with National Electrical Code (NEC) and local codes
• Troubleshoot electrical malfunctions and perform necessary repairs
• Coordinate with project managers and other trades to meet project timelines
• Travel to different job sites as assigned, sometimes for extended periods
• Maintain accurate records of materials used and work performed

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a journeyman electrician
• Active Texas Journeyman Electrician License required
• Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
• Ability to travel to multiple job sites, including out-of-town assignments
• Comfortable working in commercial and/or industrial settings
• Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Compensation and Benefits

• Hourly pay range of $36.00 to $38.00 per hour, depending on experience, qualifications, and project requirements
