Speechworks Therapy Services (STS) is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and energetic Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our growing pediatric therapy team in the Charlotte area.

We welcome candidates interested in full-time or part-time opportunities.

This is a community-based position that provides an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families. The SLPA will work under the supervision and direction of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) while providing speech and language therapy services to children in a variety of settings.

Where You Will Work

Services may be provided in:

• Daycare centers
• Early childhood development centers
• Preschools
• Private childcare facilities
• Children's homes
• Other approved pediatric community settings

Candidates should be comfortable traveling throughout the Charlotte-Mecklenburg area to provide services.

Responsibilities

The Speech-Language Pathology Assistant will:

• Provide speech and language therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.
• Implement treatment plans established by the supervising SLP.
• Work individually with children to address speech, language, communication, and developmental goals.
• Provide services in daycare centers, early childhood development centers, preschools, homes, and other community settings.
• Complete accurate and timely documentation for each treatment session.
• Maintain organized treatment schedules and communicate schedule changes promptly.
• Collaborate with the supervising SLP regarding patient progress, concerns, and treatment recommendations.
• Communicate professionally with parents, caregivers, teachers, daycare staff, and other members of the child's care team.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and company policies.
• Participate in supervision meetings, training, and professional development activities as required.
• Maintain consistent attendance and reliable communication with STS administrative and clinical staff.
• Perform other duties related to patient care and therapy services as assigned.

Qualifications

Candidates should:

• Meet the educational and professional requirements to practice as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant in North Carolina.
• Be eligible for or maintain all required North Carolina credentials/registration for SLPA practice.
• Have a strong interest in working with children.
• Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Be organized, dependable, professional, and able to work independently in community settings.
• Be comfortable working closely with daycare directors, teachers, parents, caregivers, and supervising clinicians.
• Have reliable transportation and the ability to travel between treatment locations.
• Be comfortable using electronic documentation and communication systems.
• Successfully complete required background checks and other employment requirements.

Pediatric experience is preferred, but motivated candidates who are passionate about working with children are encouraged to apply.

Full-time and part-time opportunities are available.

Schedules may be developed based on:

• Therapist availability
• Patient caseload
• Daycare and early childhood center schedules
• Geographic service area
• Business and patient needs
