Sewing Machine Operator

We are seeking experienced sewing machine operators for a client in Taylorsvlle, NC.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Operate automated Tatum sewing machines to produce products according to specifications.

Operate manual Juki industrial sewing machines to complete sewing operations and specialty work.

Read and interpret work orders, production schedules, and product specifications.

Set up machines and make minor adjustments for different product requirements.

Inspect materials before sewing to ensure they meet quality standards.

Monitor machine performance and identify sewing defects or equipment issues.

Perform routine machine cleaning and basic preventive maintenance.

Maintain consistent production rates while meeting quality expectations.

Measure and inspect finished products to verify they meet customer specifications.

Report equipment malfunctions or material shortages to the supervisor.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

Follow all company safety procedures and quality control requirements.

Assist in other production areas as needed.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Previous experience operating industrial sewing machines is preferred.

Experience with automated sewing equipment is a plus.

Ability to read work instructions and follow written and verbal directions.

Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong attendance and dependability.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand or sit for extended periods.

Frequent use of hands and fingers for sewing operations.

Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.

Ability to bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift.

Good vision, including close vision, to inspect product quality.

Working Conditions

Manufacturing environment with exposure to industrial sewing equipment.

Use of required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Regular exposure to production noise and moving machinery.
