We are pleased to recruit for a company whose corporate purpose is to create chemistry for a sustainable future and has been doing so for 150 years. Their products and solutions contribute to conserving resources, ensuring nutrition and improving quality of life. Our client is expanding and seeking a Rotating Equipment Inspector in Monaca, PA.

Responsibilities:

The Rotating Equipment Inspector works in conjunction with the Rotating Equipment Area Engineer to provide Rotating Equipment assurance to the Area Production Team.

The Inspector is responsible for first point of contact for troubleshooting of rotating equipment issues from maintenance and operations, including non-business hours.

The Rotating Equipment Inspector primarily reports to the Rotating Equipment Team Lead and dotted-line reports to the Area Production Unit Manager.

Generally, the Rotating Equipment Inspector manages short-to-medium term rotating equipment topics in the production team such as Intelatrac responses, operator instructions, maintenance instructions, Maintenance Execution (ME) Notification responses, MTBR metrics, 5-Why Failure Cause Analysis, MOC PSSR field assurance, execution of proactive technical monitoring, development of repair scopes, and general day-to-day operating business.

The Inspector escalates concerns to the corresponding Area Engineer. It is of utmost importance that the Engineer and Inspector maintain fluid communication.

The Inspector may participate in design review for the discipline MOCs but is generally not a Technical Authority.

The Inspector builds ITP (Inspection Test Plan) for equipment repairs.

The Rotating Equipment Inspector may work with the Engineer for day-to-day activities which pertain to vital or essential equipment.

The Rotating Equipment Inspector should achieve general knowledge of production processes and how the machinery interfaces with the processes.

A Rotating Equipment Inspector may support a limited number of duties expected of the Area Specialist and/or may not have achieved the full required competency of a Specialist.

1. Read and respond to rotating equipment-related issues in the operations' shift reports.

2. Review equipment maintenance notifications from the previous day.

3. Attend the morning Production Team Meeting.

4. Assist in prioritizing daily activities for the area rotating equipment team.

5. Troubleshoot abnormal conditions and respond to operations and maintenance requests for engineering or equipment issues.

6. Review equipment repairs, assist in failure analysis of equipment, and issue failure reports.

7. Collaborate in the development of equipment repair specifications and scopes, including setting quality assurance hold and witness points, and executing the holds and witnesses.

8. Review equipment health using web-based tools such as PTM Hub, PIVision, SmartConnect, etc. While formal PTM Hub activities are assigned to the Area Engineer, the Specialist is expected to utilize the tool for daily proactive monitoring.

9. Provide training and feedback to operations and maintenance in ways to improve personal and process safety, cost, efficiency, and reliability, including updating wIMS RCM.

10. Provide assurance to operations' machinery-related procedures. (Note vital and essential non-spared equipment will also include input from the Area Engineer.)

11. Perform RCM continuous improvement including entry of PM change requests.

12. Provide input to and detailing of work scopes developed by the Area Engineer for the STO and Turnaround Work Process. Support maintenance coordination for the scope.

13. Correct and review equipment Bill of Material (BOM) in GSAP/CMMS and submit New Inventory Requests (NIR) to correct BOM discrepancies.

Requirements:

  • Experience troubleshooting of rotating equipment issues from maintenance and operations

Must have a valid driver's license and current state required minimum vehicle insurance coverage to drive onto Client and Company property.

Pay Rate: The pay range for this position is $83.50.00 - $111.00 per hour; however, the pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This pay information is being provided pursuant to applicable law and is based in part on market location.
