The Welder is responsible for performing welding and fabrication tasks to produce high quality metal components and assemblies in accordance with drawings, specifications, and safety standards. This position requires strong attention to detail, adherence to established procedures, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a manufacturing shop environment.


Essential Functions Statement(s)

  • Perform welding using MIG, TIG, and/or Stick processes as required by job specifications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, weld symbols, and work instructions to determine work requirements.
  • Set up welding equipment, fixtures, and materials in preparation for welding operations.
  • Fabricate, assemble, and weld metal parts and structures to required dimensions and tolerances.
  • Inspect completed welds for quality, accuracy, and conformance to company and customer standards.
  • Perform basic grinding, cutting, and finishing operations to complete welded assemblies.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, including proper handling and storage of materials and equipment.
  • Follow all safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements at all times.
  • Report equipment issues, material defects, or safety concerns promptly to supervision.
  • Work collaboratively with team members and other departments to meet production schedules and quality goals.
