Job Description Find your calling at Mercy! Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. 3400 Details:

• Bed Numbers: 18

• Nurse to Patient Ratio: Blended unit some med surg 6:1, step down 4:1

• Patient Population: Primarily step-down patients, cardiac drips set rates, post procedural patients, cardioversions, bipap, airvo, chest tubes, post pacemakers BLS/ACLS/NIHSS common diagnosis of CHF, COPD, CKD

3500 Details:

• Bed Numbers: 26

• Nurse to Patient Ratio: 4:1 possible 5:1

• Patient Population: stepdown patients cardiac drips set rates, cardiac drips set rates, post procedural patients, cardioversions, bipap, airvo, chest tubes, post pacemakers BLS/ACLS/NIHSS common diagnosis of CHF, COPD, CKD

Qualifications:

• Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).

• Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.

• Certifications: Must have American Heart Association Healthcare Provider card or complete a course within probationary period. Must have ACLS and BLS or obtain within 90 days of hire.
