Quality Control Inspector

Job Description Job Description Job Summary: Quality Control Inspector I is responsible for maintaining product quality standards by performing summary inspections, followed by decision making that determines if product standards are adhered to by our suppliers. Responsibilities:

• Completes & retains basic product training
• Completes & retains basic systems training
• Completes & retains basic process training
• Performs summary inspections of product and records results into QMS as per VC process
• Is involved and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives driven by management
• Maintain a safe working environment and participate in preventative maintenance programs.
• Perform daily inspections of product.
• Maintain a clean work area.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

• High School Degree, Diploma or a GED equivalent certificate from a certified institution
• Minimum 2 years of experience inspecting products
• Manufacturing/Distribution environment a must
• Basic math, reading, and communication skills
• Basic knowledge of using and operating warehouse machinery and equipment (pallet jack, pallet rider, order picker, forklift)
• Requires squatting, kneeling, bending, and some overhead lifting
• Works well in a team environment.
• Ability to use a computer for data entry and data analysis.
• Knowledge of quality assurance procedures and methods.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements: The Quality Control I role operates in a warehouse setting. This role frequently lifts up to 50 pounds with a team lift and adjusts body positions, including bending, stooping, standing, walking, turning, pivoting, and standing for long periods of time. The noise level is moderate to high. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
