Qualified Welder needed

Job Description Job Description About the Role: Garbarino Construction Inc is looking for a skilled Welder to join our growing team in Chesapeake, VA. Responsibilities:

• Perform stick welding on structural and fabricated metal components
• Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and technical drawings
• Inspect welds for quality, accuracy, and compliance with project specifications
• Operate cutting torches, grinders, and other fabrication equipment
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in accordance with OSHA standards
• Collaborate with construction crews to meet project timelines and deadlines
• Perform routine maintenance and inspection of welding equipment

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Welder in a construction or industrial environment
• Proficiency in MIG, TIG, flux-core, and/or stick welding processes
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical welding diagrams
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and safe welding practices
• AWS certification or equivalent welding certification preferred
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and at various heights
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and a team-first attitude
