Within the scope of licensing, training, credentialing, and privileging, the Psychiatric NP diagnoses and treats people with mental and developmental disorders. Based on a diagnosis, the Psychiatric NP shall prescribe or administer medication and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent psychiatric and related illnesses, diseases, or injuries. Provides information or consultation to promote wellness or prevent onset or worsening of psychiatric and other health-related disorders and instructs patients and/or families on treatment plans.

At least 3 years of work experience as a psychiatric NP.

Ability to work with a team of providers. Proficient in utilizing the computer.
