Essential Functions & Responsibilities of the Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)
- Deliver physical therapy services under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist (PT)
- Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist (PT)
- Provide therapeutic interventions to improve patient mobility, strength, and overall function
- Monitor patient responses to treatment and report progress/concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist (PT)
- Accurately document patient visits, interventions, and progress as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)
- Provide education and guidance to patients and caregivers to support continued progress
- Active license from the Florida Board of Physical Therapy as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)
- Valid Florida driver's license, active vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass AHCA Clearinghouse background screening ()
- Current in-person CPR certification
- Physical ability to perform job duties including standing, bending, lifting, and assisting patients/equipment
- Strong customer service, communication skills and effective listening
- Minimum 1 year of Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) experience
- Minimum 1 year of Home Health experience
- Pay is commensurate with Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) experience, Home Health background, and documentation proficiency
