Newborn Pediatric Hospitalist Opportunity - RenoQuick Screening Highlights
  • Position Type: Permanent, Full-Time
  • Schedule: Daytime newborn hospitalist coverage
  • Weekends: Possible (standard hospitalist schedule)
  • Call: None (overnight coverage handled by NICU team)
  • Candidate Restrictions:
    • No locums
    • No visa sponsorship
    • Must reside locally (relocation may be required)
Licensure and Certification Requirements
  • Board Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics - Required
  • State License: Active Nevada license or eligibility required
  • DEA: Required prior to start
  • CSR/CDS: Required prior to start
Facility and Setting
  • NICU: 58-bed Level III NICU
  • Coverage: 24/7 in-house neonatology
  • Environment: Academic affiliation with strong subspecialty support
Clinical Responsibilities
  • Newborn nursery examinations
  • Circumcisions
  • Collaborate with pediatric intensivists, hospitalists, and neonatologists
  • Work with specialized newborn nursing staff (transitional, newborn, couplet care)
  • Utilize Certified Lactation Specialist support (available year-round)
  • Participate in teaching pediatric residents and medical students
  • No delivery attendance required
