Patient Care Coordinator

Scheduling and Front Desk

  • Book, change, and confirm patient appointments.
  • Greet patients and answer phone calls or messages.
  • Manage doctor and treatment calendars to keep the office running smoothly

Patient Communication

  • Answer questions about upcoming procedures and office policies.
  • Help patients understand their basic care steps and instructions.
  • Build trust and act as a helpful guide throughout the patient's visit

Job Requirements

  • Education: High school diploma required; associate or bachelor's degree in health administration preferred.
  • Skills: Strong communication, basic computer use, organization, and knowledge of medical terms.
  • Experience: Previous office or customer service work in a medical, dental, or clinic setting

Administration & Scheduling

  • Manage intake: Register new patients and gather initial health histories.
  • Schedule care: Book appointments, manage doctor referrals, and track follow-up visits.
  • Keep records: Update electronic health records (EHR) accurately while maintaining strict patient privacy.
