An outpatient occupational health clinic in Newark is seeking a Board-Certified Physician for PRN coverage. This opportunity is ideal for physicians with Occupational Medicine, Urgent Care, Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine experience who are comfortable evaluating and treating workplace injuries in an autonomous clinical setting.
Position Highlights- Occupational medicine clinic serving an employee population
- PRN schedule with immediate coverage needs
- Ongoing coverage is anticipated, and providers interested in establishing a recurring PRN relationship are strongly encouraged to apply
- Approximately 12 patients per day
- Adult patients only (18+)
- Epic EMR
- Dedicated RN support onsite
- Independent practice environment with medical director support available
- August 7: 11:00 AM 7:00 PM
- August 17: 7:00 AM 3:00 PM
- August 21: 7:00 AM 3:00 PM
Providers may be considered for one or multiple shifts. Additional coverage opportunities are expected beyond these dates.
Clinical Responsibilities- Evaluate and treat occupational injuries and illnesses
- Manage musculoskeletal injuries, strains, and sprains
- Assess cuts, lacerations, burns, and minor workplace injuries
- Conduct return-to-work evaluations
- Order and interpret diagnostic studies as appropriate
- Provide follow-up care and treatment recommendations
- Document patient encounters within Epic EMR
- MD or DO
- Active New Jersey medical license
- Board Certified in any specialty
- Active DEA registration
- Current BLS certification
- Occupational Medicine or Urgent Care experience required
- Occupational Medicine
- Emergency Medicine
- Family Medicine
- Internal Medicine
- Urgent Care
