LOCUMS - Petoskey, Michigan OB Hospitalist (Board Certified Required)

Availability / Assignment Details

• Start Date: 08/15/2026
• Coverage End Date: 12/31/2026 (anticipated)
• Coverage Type: Clinic + call coverage (inpatient + outpatient mix)
• Schedule Structure:
  • Monday-Friday: 8 hours total coverage daily
    • Up to 6 hours clinic
    • Remaining time includes night call responsibilities
  • Weekend Coverage: 24-hour call coverage
• Patient Volume:
  • Outpatient: 6-8 patients/day
  • Deliveries: 1.5/day
• Support Staff: 2 Nurse Practitioners
• EMR: Cerner

Clinical Scope / Responsibilities

• Prenatal care
• Vaginal deliveries
• C-sections
• VBAC management
• OB call coverage (including emergent deliveries)
• Mixed inpatient and outpatient OB/GYN practice

Requirements

Board Certification

• Board Certified in OB/GYN required

Licensure

• Active Michigan medical license required
• Local candidate required

Experience

• Minimum 2 years OB/GYN clinical experience required

Clinical Skills (Required)

• Full-scope obstetrics including:
  • Vaginal deliveries
  • C-sections
  • VBAC management
