Coverage Details

  • 24-hour in-house OB/GYN call

  • Average 3 deliveries per shift

  • 5 7 admissions while on call

  • 6 10 total L&D patients including postpartum

  • Less than 2 emergent GYN surgeries per shift

  • 1 2 scheduled C-sections daily (provider covers cases scheduled by their service)

  • Rounding: 7 10 antepartum/postpartum patients

  • 900 deliveries annually

  • Level II NICU (24-week gestational age cutoff)

  • Anesthesia onsite 24/7

  • Midwife support (not 24/7)

  • Two additional community practices also deliver at the hospital

Practice Environment

  • Epic EMR

  • Open ICU

  • Nurses and CRNAs perform neonatal resuscitation

  • APP support available

  • Temp privileges available

  • Credentialing timeframe: 30 days

Requirements

  • Board Certified OB/GYN

  • Maryland license (will accept candidates needing to obtain)

  • DEA and CSR required

  • Minimum 2 years experience

  • ACLS, BLS, CPR

  • Must perform inductions by VBAC
