OB/GYN Hospitalist Locums Job in North Carolina

Our client is seeking Board Certified OB/GYN physicians to provide ongoing OB Hospitalist locums coverage at a regional academic medical center serving eastern North Carolina.

Details of Assignment :
Active North Carolina License
Board Certification required
Eleven 24 hour shifts needed per month
Flexible scheduling
Starting ASAP and ongoing
Collaborative department with 24 OB/GYNs, 9 APPS, and CNM support
3,639 deliveries per year
Level IV NICU support through Maynard Children's Hospital
Will help cover emergent GYN cases
Locum physicians will also serve as backup support for Emergency Department consultations related to OB/GYN patients

Patient Volume:
Average inpatient census: 50
Average daytime admissions: 10 per day
Average nighttime admissions: 5 per night
Approximately 10% of visits result in admission
Average surgical volume: 10 cases per month per surgeon

Required Procedures:
Cesarean delivery
Obstetric and gynecologic D&C procedures
Diagnostic laparoscopy
Operative laparoscopy
Urgent and emergent gynecologic surgical procedures
