Metal Fabricator I & II (Now Hiring - Orlando, FL)

Location: Orlando, FL (Onsite - Shop Environment)

Abacus Staffing is hiring Metal Fabricators (Level I & II) for a leading fabrication operation in Orlando. These roles are responsible for cutting, shaping, assembling, and welding metal components to meet production and quality standards.

Pay Rates

• Metal Fabricator I: $18.00 - $21.00/hour (based on experience)
• Metal Fabricator II: $21.00 - $26.00/hour (based on experience)

Schedule

• Monday - Friday 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
• 30-minute unpaid lunch
• 15-minute paid break

Key Responsibilities

Metal Fabricator I

• Cut and shape metal components from raw materials
• Read blueprints, sketches, and work instructions
• Perform layout, fitting, and assembly of parts
• Use tools such as rollers, drill presses, flame cutters, and brakes
• Grind, polish, and inspect finished products
• Use measuring instruments to ensure tolerance accuracy
• Assist with welding, fastening, and assembly of components
• Maintain production quality and meet deadlines

Metal Fabricator II

• Interpret blueprints and engineering drawings for fabrication
• Perform advanced layout, fit-up, and welding tasks
• Measure, cut, and assemble complex components
• Work independently on fabrication projects with minimal supervision

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of metal fabrication experience
• Experience working with various shapes, angles, and materials
• Certifiable in MIG & TIG welding (stainless, carbon, aluminum)
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
• Strong attention to detail and quality control
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment

Preferred

• Experience in scenic, custom, or themed fabrication environments

Required Tools (Employee-Provided)

• Measuring tape (25')
• Squares (combo, framing, speed)
• Level, chalk line, center punch
• Hammers, adjustable wrench, vice grips
• Welding hood

Work Environment

• Shop/warehouse setting with changing conditions
• Requires standing, walking, lifting, and working with equipment
• Must maintain awareness of surroundings and safety protocols
