Manufacturing Quality Inspector
EDCO Engineering Inc.
We are seeking an experienced Quality Inspector with a strong background in aerospace or precision manufacturing to perform and document in-process, final, first-piece, and First Article Inspections (FAI).
1st Shift: Monday-Thursday, 6:00 AM-4:30 PM; Friday overtime (6-10h) as needed.
This is not an entry-level position; candidates must have hands-on precision inspection experience.
Responsibilities:
- Perform in-process, final, first-piece, and First Article Inspections.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, blueprints, and GD&T.
- Inspect precision parts using micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, radius gauges, dial indicators, surface plates, and other measuring equipment.
- Maintain accurate inspection records and product traceability.
- Assist in managing and coordinating all instruments for calibration and maintaining accurate calibration records.
- Support calibration and control of inspection equipment, including monitoring calibration status and maintaining required records.
- Identify and document nonconforming product.
- Follow established quality procedures and customer requirements.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of Quality Inspection experience in aerospace or precision manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of GD&T, blueprint reading, and precision measuring equipment.
- Working knowledge of AS9100 and ISO 9001.
- Familiarity with calibration requirements and measuring equipment control Gagetraks knowledge a PLUS
- Strong computer skills, including Excel, Word, and customer portals.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and communication skills.
