We are seeking a Maintenance Specialist/ Electrician to join our team on our team. The Maintenance Specialist/ Electrician role will perform all electrical tasks with general supervision, possesses Journeyman license, can read blueprints, terminate cable, install and troubleshoot control wiring from drawing, is able to demonstrate experience factors exceeding an electrical helper and must be sufficient on rough-in work.

What You'll Do:

• Install feeders.
• Wire and conduit sizing.
• Switchgear and device installation and termination.
• Layout and preparation for installation.
• Underground layout and rough-in.
• Motors and controls-troubleshooting.
• Possesses skills of lower job titles (Apprentice Electrician).
• Fully comprehends electrical theory and NFPA 70 National Electric Code.
• Train Apprentice Electricians in National Electric Code, as well as Safety and Company Practices.

What You Need:

LICENSES: Current driver's license with acceptable driving record per the Company's insurance; possesses own transportation.

ELECTRICAL: Current Journeyman

EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED EXPERIENCE: Minimum five years of previous electrical experience

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Job requires working in all elements, depending on job location, time of year (heat, rain, etc.)
• Must be able to utilize construction site sanitary facilities (Porta-Potties).
• Job requires employees to always have tools with them (waist tool belt as work weighs approximately 30 pounds).
• Works from all types of ladders (step ladders up to 12 ft, A-frame ladders, and all sizes of extension ladders, and carry and relocate up to 12 ft. step ladder by oneself
• Employee's personal weight and personal tools cannot exceed weight limit of ladder (Class 1-250 lbs., Class 1A-300 lbs.)
• Perform work at various heights (up to 20ft.) from ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts,
• Work in restricted areas (switchgear room, utility tunnels, crawl spaces, attics).
• Wear personal protective equipment (hard hat, safety glasses, respirator when required).
• Repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers.
• Able to work 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week, overtime as required.

SKILLS:

• Positively identify colors of wires.
• Comprehends reading and drawing prints and schematics.
• Bend conduct with hand benders.
• Must use all power tools, saws, threaders, wire tuggers, and knockout punches.
• Capable of digging trenches, either by use of hand tools or power equipment.
• Operate equipment, trenchers, lift in safe manner.
• Practices and comprehends safe work procedures per Company policy.
• Operates two-handed tools/equipment, cable cutters, hammer drills, compression tools, jack hammers.
• Operate company trucks with manual and automatic transmission.
• Read and interpret maps, instructional manuals, specifications, work site directions, blueprints, and written instructions.
• Operate and work from mechanical personnel lifts (electrical or gas-powered).
• Work on energized circuits and equipment with company management approval as outlined in the Safety Policy.

PHYSICAL FUNCTION:

• Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, crawl, climb, kneel, balance, push, pull, and reach overhead repeatedly and for long periods of time, as needed.
• Lift 50 pounds.
• Constantly moving your feet.
• Climb ladders (all types).
• Completing overhead work for full day assignments.
• Must be able to make transition from employee parking area or street into construction work areas and to gain access to all levels of building, even if the only means of access is by OSHA approved site construction ladder of stairs still under construction but acceptable for use.
• Possess good vision (normal or corrected).
• esponsible for securing tools and materials from storage areas to complete their assigned tasks.

The salary range for this position is $77,000.00 to $96,000.00.

This reflects a reasonable estimate of the targeted base salary for this role. This role is also eligible for an annual bonus. Based on factors such as geographic location and candidate qualifications, actual base pay is determined when an employment offer is made.
