LPN- Veterans Home - 1st shift 176626

A-Line Staffing is now hiring for an Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a Veterans Home. This will be a full time position.

Pay Rate - $44.45 an hour paid weekly

Benefits - active after 90 days

Schedule

• 12-hour shifts
• 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM
• Weekend availability is required
• Block scheduling
• Candidates must follow the assigned block schedule.
• Alternating schedule:
• Week 1: 36 hours
• Week 2: 48 hours

Key Responsibilities

• Administer medications and perform treatments as ordered by the physician and within the scope of the LPN license.
• Administer medications through various routes, including oral, enteral, parenteral, and suppository forms.
• Perform treatments including sterile and aseptic wound care, dressing changes, postural drainage and percussion, tracheostomy care, gastrostomy/jejunostomy care, and catheter care.
• Observe and report the effectiveness of medications and treatments.
• Ensure adequate supplies and medications are available on the assigned unit.
• Receive and provide shift reports regarding residents' medical, social, functional, and other care needs.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Complete initial admission nursing assessments for newly admitted residents.
• Supervise subordinate staff and provide guidance regarding resident care.
• Assist with direct resident care and activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, observation, treatment, hygiene, and mobility.
• Observe and report resident behavior, condition, and progress.
• Conduct and participate in in-service training and staff development programs.
• Train new employees as assigned.
• Attend and participate in staff meetings.
• Collect and analyze data for quality improvement and infection control programs as needed.
• Collect specimens and respond rapidly and appropriately to emergency situations.
• Assist with the development and implementation of resident care plans within a team nursing environment.
• Maintain effective working relationships with residents, families, team members, and service providers.
• Perform other technical and related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• LPN License in AZ
• Skilled nursing or LTC experience preferred
