About the Role:
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays a critical role in delivering high-quality nursing care within an residential treatment facility, ensuring the health and well-being of residents. This position involves comprehensive patient care, including pain control, and to support both acute and chronic health conditions. The LPN will provide patient education to empower residents and their families with knowledge about health maintenance and treatment plans. Effective communication in English is essential to accurately document patient information and collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams. Ultimately, the LPN contributes to creating a safe, compassionate, and supportive environment that promotes optimal patient outcomes and quality of life.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Current Ohio License as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
- Behavioral Health, substance use disorder treatment, residential treatment or related healthcare experience preferred
- Current CPR/First Aid certification
- Strong clinical judgement, communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
- A minimum of one year of experience working in the Alcohol/Drug and/or Mental Health field is preferred.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English to ensure clear communication.
- Demonstrated experience in patient care
Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care, administer medications and treatments, monitor clients for changes in physical, behavioral, or mental health status.
- Respond appropriately to medical concerns, behavioral health needs an emergencies.
- Complete accurate and timely nursing and medication documentation in the electronic health record.
- Collaborate with members of the treatment team to maintain safe and supportive environment.
- Complete all assigned nursing and shift responsibilities before the end of the scheduled shift.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
