Licensed Journeyman Electrician

Wattsmith Electric is a licensed San Antonio electrical contractor (TECL 41806), veteran-owned, starting residential service work in October. We are hiring one journeyman electrician for the first service truck.

Pay is $30 an hour, paid weekly, with overtime after 40. 401(k) with a 4 percent company match, vested on day one. Company van and fuel. Five-day week; the company runs seven days but you do not.

The work is residential service in San Antonio and the surrounding metro: troubleshooting, panels and breakers, dedicated circuits, EV chargers, surge protection, lighting, devices, and whatever else a homeowner calls an electrician for. You diagnose, present three options from our price book on a tablet, the customer approves a flat price before you start, and you do the work clean. You never argue about a price and you never invent one.

What we need: an active Texas journeyman license, three or more years of hands-on electrical work with residential service preferred, a clean driving record (background and MVR run through Checkr), your own hand tools, and the ability to explain a problem to a homeowner in their kitchen without talking down to them.

What you get that most shops do not: a flat-rate price book, a dispatcher who fills your day before you leave the shop, a company that answers its phone in fifteen minutes, and an owner who is building this the right way from the first job.
