Our client, a leading Medical Device and Life Sciences organization, is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Technician (Lab Testing) to join their team. As a Mechanical Engineering Technician, you will be part of the Engineering and Laboratory Operations team supporting Product Testing, Quality, and R&D initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to follow procedures accurately, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Mechanical Engineering Technician (Lab Testing)
Location: San Diego, CA
Pay Range: $25.00/hour
Shift: 1st Shift 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
Contract Duration: 6 Months

What's the Job?
  • Perform laboratory testing activities while following established procedures and test methods.
  • Accurately document test results and maintain detailed records using both manual and electronic systems.
  • Monitor test progress and communicate observations, anomalies, or deviations from expected results.
  • Follow laboratory safety procedures, including proper handling of chemicals, cleaners, and PPE.
  • Collaborate with engineering and laboratory teams to support testing objectives and continuous improvement efforts.
What's Needed?
  • High School Diploma required.
  • Experience in laboratory, testing, manufacturing, quality, or regulated environments preferred.
  • Strong documentation, recordkeeping, and data entry skills.
  • Ability to work safely with chemicals, cleaning agents, and required PPE.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to follow detailed procedures and protocols.
