Journeyman Electrician - Wind Turbine Services

Apave Canada has an immediate, full-time position available for Wind Service/Composite Technician within our Wind Services Department.

Job Duties
  • Conducting wind turbine maintenance, troubleshooting, inspection, and repair activities.
  • Assisting with the setup, inspection, and maintenance of wind turbine systems and equipment.
  • Collaborating with cross functional teams, including operations, maintenance, and technical services, to complete projects and resolve any issues.
  • Maintaining knowledge of industry best practices, safety standards, and regulatory requirements related to wind turbine maintenance.
  • Staying up to date with the latest wind turbine maintenance techniques and technology.
Required Skills and Experience
  • Red Seal Journeyman Electrician Certificate
  • Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including at heights.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Travel (including overnight stays out of town) will be required.
  • GWO certification would be an asset.
  • Experience with basic electrical and mechanical repair and maintenance tasks would be an asset.
Safety Requirements
  • Steel toe boots are required; Apave Canada will provide additional PPE.
Legal and Screening Requirements

Legal entitlement to work in Canada is mandatory.

All potential employees will be required to complete an alcohol and drug screening.
