We are looking for an experienced Journeyman Electrician with approximately 2-5 years of journeyman-level experience to join and grow with our team. In addition to performing high-quality electrical work, this role will help strengthen our company by mentoring, supporting, and leading other team members. This position reports directly to the General Manager.
Ideal Candidate:
Holds a State of Montana Journeyman Electrician License or can easily obtain one.
Has completed a 4-year electrical apprenticeship program; additional jobsite experience is preferred.
Has a comprehensive understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable safety standards.
Has strong knowledge of electrical principles, construction methods, wiring methods, and electrical schematics.
Can identify material needs and help coordinate the ordering of electrical components.
Is an ambitious self-starter who enjoys an ever-changing work environment and can work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Is organized, dependable, and communicates well with coworkers, leadership, customers, and other trades.
Enjoys mentoring others and contributing to a positive, family-oriented team culture.
Responsibilities:
Maintain a safe driving record and responsibly operate company vehicles.
Lead by example in compliance with OSHA requirements, company safety practices, and other applicable standards.
Read and interpret plans, technical drawings, specifications, and schematics to determine electrical system layouts.
Plan, install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain line-voltage electrical systems on residential and commercial projects.
Diagnose faulty wiring, equipment, and electrical systems and complete appropriate repairs.
Identify needed upgrades, repairs, and electrical components.
Document jobsite issues, completed work, and other required project information.
Coordinate and facilitate the ordering of needed electrical materials and components.
Mentor and lead apprentices and other team members while helping maintain Tyler Electric's standards for quality, professionalism, and teamwork.
Requirements:
State of Montana Journeyman Electrician License or the ability to obtain a Montana license.
Experience leading, mentoring, or working alongside other team members.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and take ownership of assigned work.
Ability to pass a background check and required pre-employment screenings.
