Job Title: Electrician

Job Summary

The Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems, equipment, and wiring in residential, commercial, or industrial settings. The ideal candidate has strong technical skills, follows electrical codes and safety regulations, and can work independently or as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, outlets, switches, and circuit breakers.
• Read and interpret blueprints, electrical drawings, and technical diagrams.
• Diagnose electrical problems and perform necessary repairs.
• Install and maintain electrical panels, lighting systems, and control equipment.
• Test electrical systems to ensure proper operation and compliance with applicable codes.
• Follow electrical safety procedures and local, state, and national electrical codes.
• Inspect electrical components for damage, wear, and potential safety hazards.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, organized work area.
• Document completed work, repairs, and maintenance activities.
• Coordinate with supervisors, contractors, and other trades to complete projects on schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an electrical apprenticeship or relevant technical training preferred.
• Previous electrical work experience preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical systems, wiring methods, and safety standards.
• Ability to read electrical plans and use electrical testing equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in physically demanding environments when required.
• Valid driver's license may be required.
• Appropriate electrician license or certification as required by local regulations.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry tools and electrical materials.
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb, and work for extended periods.
• Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, ladders, and testing equipment.

Work Environment

Work may take place in residential buildings, commercial facilities, construction sites, industrial plants, or other locations requiring electrical installation and maintenance.

Employment Type: Full-time or as assigned.

Pay Rate: $22.00-$26.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
