Location: Cedar Park, TX (Hope and Health Direct Primary Care)

Type: Part-Time / Flexible/4 day or Full-time in near future

Benefits will change and grow depending on your needs and if part-time vs 4 days/week

The Opportunity

Hope and Health Direct Primary Care is seeking a dedicated, high-integrity Nurse Practitioner to join our practice. In the DPC model, we strip away the bureaucratic hurdles of traditional insurance-based medicine to focus on what matters most: the patient-provider relationship.

We aren't just looking for a clinician; we are looking for a "right fit" partner. This role is for a self-actualized professional who thrives on autonomy, practices radical honesty, and takes initiative to manage patient care without constant over-the-shoulder supervision.

Core Values of the Ideal Candidate

  • Unwavering Honesty: You prioritize transparency with patients and the team, even when conversations are difficult.
  • True Autonomy: You are comfortable making clinical decisions and managing your workflow independently within the scope of Texas NP regulations.
  • Proactive Self-Starter: You don't wait for a task list. You identify needs, improve processes, and "own" your patient outcomes.

Primary Roles & Responsibilities

In accordance with the standard of care for Nurse Practitioners in the state of Texas, your duties will include:

  • Comprehensive Care: Perform physical exams, diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, and manage the overall health of a diverse patient panel.
  • Clinical Judgment: Order, interpret, and manage diagnostic tests (labs, imaging) and develop evidence-based treatment plans.
  • Prescriptive Authority: Prescribe medications and non-pharmacological therapies as authorized by the Texas Board of Nursing.
  • Patient Advocacy: Provide thorough patient education and counseling on preventive health and lifestyle changes-a cornerstone of the DPC model.
  • Care Coordination: Manage referrals and collaborate with specialists while maintaining the DPC "medical home" philosophy.
  • Documentation: Maintain precise, timely, and honest electronic health records that reflect the high standard of care provided.

Qualifications

  • Licensure: Active, unrestricted license as a Nurse Practitioner in the State of Texas.
  • Certification: Board Certification (AANP or ANCC) in Family Practice or Adult-Gerontology.
  • Experience: Previous experience in primary care or urgent care is preferred, but a demonstrated "self-starter" attitude is paramount.
  • Technical Savvy: Comfort with modern EMR systems and a willingness to utilize technology to enhance patient access (telemedicine, secure messaging).

Why Hope and Health?

We offer a practice environment that respects your clinical expertise and your time. If you are tired of the 15-minute treadmill and want to practice medicine the way it was intended-with heart, honesty, and independence-we want to hear from you.
