Key Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Setup and Operation: Set up and operate Mazak multi-axis turning centers and mills.
• Programming: Program, edit, and troubleshoot CNC programs using Mazatrol or G-code.
• Quality Control: Inspect finished parts for defects using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools.
• Process Optimization: Optimize, optimize speeds, feeds, and tool selection to improve efficiency.
• Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on Mazak machines, including cleaning and ensuring proper lubrication.
• Documentation: Maintain job travelers, report production data, and document quality checks.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Experience: Proven experience with Mazak CNC machinery and Mazatrol programming.
• Technical Skills: Strong ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T.
• Tooling Knowledge: Experience with tool selection, fixturing, and proper work holding techniques.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training is preferred.
• Physical Ability: Ability to stand for long periods and handle parts, often lifting up to 35-50 lbs.
