ROSS Companies is seeking experienced HVAC Technicians who are looking to expand their trade skills and grow into a well-rounded Maintenance Technician role within the multifamily industry. This position is ideal for candidates with HVAC experience who are interested in developing expertise in plumbing, electrical systems, appliance repair, and general property maintenance. As part of our maintenance team, you will help ensure our communities remain safe, comfortable, and well-maintained while providing outstanding service to our residents.


Responsibilities

  • Complete service order requests timely and accurately, as assigned.
  • Monitor maintenance supply inventory and inform supervisor of items requiring ordering.
  • Service and maintain community equipment, thereby allowing continued, uninterrupted use.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on plumbing, electrical, heating, air-conditioning and ventilation systems.
  • Participate in, and remain available for, 24-hour emergency maintenance service and weather emergencies, as scheduled.


Required Experience/Skills

  • 2+ years of experience performing HVAC installation, troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance on residential or commercial HVAC systems.
  • Strong desire to expand technical skills and develop expertise in additional trades, including plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, and general property maintenance.
  • Willingness to participate in ongoing training and pursue relevant licenses and certifications.
  • EPA/CFC Type II Certification required or ability to obtain within a designated timeframe
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • A valid driver's license, reliable transportation to respond to emergency calls, and proof of motor vehicle insurance are highly preferred.

Physical Requirements

The duties and responsibilities will require all or some of the following physical applications:

  • Lifting, standing, walking, twisting, crawling, stooping, climbing, pushing and pulling, steering and bending, with dead weight in excess of 40 pounds.
  • Operating powered and non - powered equipment and tools where manual pushing, pulling or steering of equipment is required.
