Auto Mechanic

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Auto Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles while providing quality workmanship and excellent customer service.

Pay is based on experience and on billable hours.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical vehicle problems.
• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs.
• Service brakes, suspension, steering, exhaust, cooling, and engine systems.
• Perform oil changes, tune-ups, and other preventative maintenance.
• Use diagnostic equipment and hand/power tools safely and effectively.
• Communicate repair recommendations and vehicle conditions clearly.
• Maintain accurate service records.
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe.
• Follow manufacturer specifications and shop safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Previous automotive repair experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Strong knowledge of automotive systems and repair procedures.
• Ability to use automotive diagnostic tools.
• Valid driver's license.
• ASE certification is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
