Responsibilities

• Diagnose Issues: Find the root cause of mechanical and electrical problems using testing equipment, diagnostic tools, and computer scanners.
• Routine Maintenance: Perform basic maintenance such as oil changes, fluid checks, tire rotations, and other preventative services.
• Repair & Replace: Repair or replace worn or damaged components, including brakes, belts, hoses, suspension components, and other mechanical parts.
• Vehicle Inspections: Thoroughly inspect pre-owned vehicles and identify mechanical or electrical issues that need to be addressed before sale.
• Test Performance: Perform test drives and system checks after repairs to confirm the vehicle is operating safely and properly.
• Maintain Records: Keep accurate records of inspections, repairs performed, parts used, and services completed.
• Communicate with Management: Clearly explain vehicle conditions, required repairs, recommended services, and estimated repair costs to management.
• Prioritize Repairs: Manage multiple vehicles and prioritize repairs based on safety, urgency, and dealership needs.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Technical Knowledge: Understanding of engine mechanics, electrical systems, and diagnostic software.
• Tools and Equipment: Ability to safely use hand tools, power lifts, and computerized scanners.
• Physical Stamina: Strength and dexterity to lift heavy parts, stand for long hours, and work in tight spaces.
