Compensation:

$18 - $20 hourly


Responsibilities:
  • Operate the computerized scale efficiently to ensure accurate vehicle weighing.
  • Record essential data meticulously, including vehicle category and driver specifics, for each truck.
  • Maintain precise records to guarantee billing accuracy and conduct routine audits for consistency.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and uphold customer service standards.
  • Communicate effectively with drivers and other stakeholders to facilitate seamless transactions.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies in data entry promptly to maintain operational integrity.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and company policies to ensure a secure working environment for all staff members.

Qualifications:

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Ability to operate an electric weighing scale and computer console.

  • Ability to make routine arithmetical computations and tabulations accurately and to prepare routine reports.

  • Skill in computer operations, including pertinent software applications and a specialized Customer Service system.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or GED certificate preferred.

  • Moderate computer proficiency.

  • Experience in trucking or in an industrial yard environment.

  • Basic math skills.

  • Experience with radio communication.

Physical Requirements:

  • Vision: adequate to enter and read material on computer screens. Able to identify individuals to initiate greetings, give directions, and other business interactions.

  • Hearing: Able to hear safety alerts and warning signals.

  • Speaking: Able to engage in conversations in person and via electronic means and deliver information to groups of varying sizes with or without amplification.

  • Carrying: Able to occasionally carry up to 20lbs/9kg.

  • Lifting: Able to lift up to 30lbs/14kg.
