We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented A&P Mechanic to perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on flight school aircraft. This role is responsible for ensuring all maintenance work is completed in accordance with FAA regulations, approved technical data, and company procedures.

A&P certification and Inspection Authorization (IA) are required.


Responsibilities

  • Perform troubleshooting, repairs, inspections, and scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on aircraft.
  • Make airworthiness decisions and ensure aircraft are maintained in accordance with applicable FAA regulations and technical data.
  • Complete aircraft logbook entries and return aircraft to service when appropriate.
  • Read and interpret maintenance manuals, parts catalogs, engineering drawings, service bulletins, and airworthiness directives.
  • Maintain compliance with applicable Title 14 CFR Parts 43 and 91.
  • Manage workflow, prioritize maintenance needs, and adjust to changing operational requirements.
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.
  • Work independently while collaborating effectively with team members.
  • Maintain clear written and verbal communication.
  • Learn and use computerized maintenance management software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Use shop equipment, tools, company vehicles, and other equipment as required.


Requirements

  • Valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificate.
  • Valid Inspection Authorization (IA).
  • Minimum of 3 recent and consecutive years of General Aviation experience as a certificated A&P Mechanic.
  • Strong knowledge of aircraft maintenance procedures, troubleshooting, inspections, and repairs.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound airworthiness decisions.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
  • Experience with Piper aircraft preferred.
  • Garmin G1000 experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn maintenance management software.
