Senior CNC Operator - Mill or Lathe

Pay: Up to $35.00 per hour, based on experience
Shifts: First and Second Shift Available

Midwest Precision is seeking experienced Senior CNC Operators with strong skills in either CNC milling or CNC lathe operations. We are looking for dependable, quality-focused machinists who can work independently in a fast-paced precision-manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC mills or lathes

• Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and specifications

• Select and install tooling, fixtures, and workholding

• Perform tool changes and machine offsets

• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments

• Verify parts meet dimensional and quality requirements

• Identify and correct machining or quality issues

• Complete required production and inspection documentation

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area

• Support and assist less-experienced operators as needed

• Follow all company safety, quality, and production procedures

• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications

• Several years of CNC machining experience

• Advanced experience operating CNC mills or CNC lathes

• Setup experience strongly preferred

• Ability to read blueprints and understand GD&T

• Experience using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other inspection equipment

• Ability to make offsets, change tooling, and troubleshoot machining issues

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality parts

• Reliable attendance and the ability to work independently
