BOOKKEEPER

The Construction Bookkeeper is responsible for managing the day-to-day financial records of our real estate investment portfolio and construction projects. This role requires experience with job costing, draw tracking, entity-level accounting, and real estate-specific financial reporting. The ideal candidate is highly organized, accurate, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects at different stages.

Construction Accounting & Job Costing

• Track project costs by job, phase, and cost code
• Monitor budgets vs. actuals for construction and renovation projects
• Reconcile subcontractor invoices, lien waivers, and draw schedules
• Track retainage, change orders, and project-specific expenses

Real Estate Investment Accounting

• Track acquisition, rehab, holding, and disposition costs for properties
• Maintain records for rental income, security deposits, and operating expenses
• Assist with property-level P&Ls and cash flow analysis
• Track investor contributions, distributions, and equity (if applicable)

Financial Reporting

• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)
• Produce job cost reports and project profitability summaries
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning
• Provide documentation and reports for CPAs, lenders, and investors

Compliance & Organization

• Maintain organized digital records for receipts, invoices, contracts, and financial documents
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies
• Support year-end close and tax preparation
• Assist with audits or lender requests as needed
