ICC Specialist Inspector

An engineering testing company is seeking a Special Inspector in Fayetteville. This role offers the opportunity to apply advanced inspection skills on complex construction projects while working independently in the field and collaborating closely with engineers, contractors, and project teams to ensure compliance with building codes and safety standards. Special Inspector Responsibilities - Perform specialized inspections of structural components including reinforced concrete, masonry, steel, and soils in accordance with applicable building codes and project specifications - Review construction plans, specifications, and inspection requirements to ensure compliance with regulatory standards - Document inspection results, observations, and test data accurately using electronic reporting systems - Communicate inspection findings and construction issues clearly with contractors, engineers, and project managers - Verify that materials and installation methods meet quality and safety requirements - Maintain required certifications and follow all safety policies and procedures while working on active construction sites - Coordinate with project teams to resolve field issues and support timely project completion - Mentor and provide guidance to junior technicians or inspectors as needed Special Inspector Requirements - Prior experience performing construction materials testing or special inspections required - Current ICC Soils certification required - ACI, NICET, or similar industry certifications in one or more inspection disciplines strongly preferred - Candidates must have or be able to obtain a Real ID to work on the military base - Valid drivers license and ability to drive company vehicle required By applying for this job, you agree to receive calls, Al-generated calls, text messages, or emails from Synerfac Technical Staffing and our contracted partners.
