Physician - Internal Medicine - Gastroenterology

Job Details:

• Locum Tenens opportunity available ASAP on an ongoing basis
• Shift hours run from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM in an endoscopy setting with an unpaid one-hour lunch break
• Most procedures are performed with moderate sedation
• Upper endoscopy procedures are approximately 30 minutes per case
• Colonoscopy procedures are approximately 30 minutes per case
• Combined procedures are approximately 60 minutes per case
• Perform upper GI endoscopy including with biopsy, foreign body removal, and fulguration of bleeders (cautery vs. laser)
• Perform small bowel biopsy procedures
• Perform lower GI endoscopy and sigmoidoscopy (flexible required, rigid preferred)
• Perform colonoscopy including with biopsy and excision of polyp
• Esophageal dilatation/manometry and esophageal manometry interpretation preferred
• Board certification required with ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Active DC, MD, or IMLC license required to be considered
• Estimated credentialing timeframe of 60-90 days
• Nearest airports include DCA, IAD, and BWI

Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
