Job Title: Primary Care Physician (Board Certified/Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Practice)
Pay rate: $150/hr. -$170/hr.
Location: Superior, WI 54880
Shift: 8:00am 4:30pm CST (M-F)
Duration: 1 Year to long term
Hours/week: 40 Hours/week

Job description:
We are seeking two (2) Board Certified/Board Eligible Primary Care Physicians in Internal Medicine or Family Practice to provide onsite services at VA Community-Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs). Physicians will deliver comprehensive, veteran-centered primary care in compliance with VA standards.

Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct patient care (approx. 90% of time), including:
Admission, history, and physical examinations
Evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of patients
Ordering and interpreting diagnostic studies (labs, imaging, ECGs)
Medication management and perioperative care
End-of-life discussions and advanced care planning
Coordination of care with specialists and primary care providers
Discharge planning and follow-up arrangements
Perform procedures within scope of practice, including:
Abscess incision and drainage
Thoracentesis, paracentesis, lumbar puncture
NG tube insertion, catheter placement
Joint aspiration/injection (excluding ankle/hip)
ACLS procedures and rapid response team leadership
Fulfill administrative duties (approx. 10% of time), including:
Documentation in VA s EMR (CPRS)
Completion of patient encounter forms within 2 business days
Participation in medical staff meetings and compliance activities

Qualifications:
Licensure: Active, current, full, and unrestricted license in Wisconsin (Twin Ports) or Minnesota (Hibbing).
Board Certification: Board Certified/Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Practice.
Certifications: Current BLS and ACLS.
Identifiers: Valid NPI and DEA registration.

Education: Completion of accredited residency in Internal Medicine or Family Practice.
Experience: Demonstrated competency in primary care procedures and scope of care.
Compliance: Annual OIG statement, malpractice/liability insurance, and disclosure of any malpractice history.
