Instructor of Children's Programming

At Mad Science & Imagine Arts Academy we have a blast. Build and fly rockets, demonstrate lasers, explore the states of matter using dry ice, and help children create slime and other polymers. You will inspire the next generation of scientists through our innovative activities that show kids what science is really all about. We are currently looking for OUTGOING and EXCITING staff: Instructors for LUNCH & AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAMS Availability Requirements: Available from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM for lunch programs and/or 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM for after-school programs. You'll visit schools, libraries, camps, homes and more to deliver AMAZING science presentations that will WOW your audiences. Our After-School Programs are scheduled after the school day ends for one-hour sessions in schools & in community centers. This is a part-time job, but we prefer someone with a flexible schedule who can take on many opportunities when given plenty of notice. Pay is based on per session, not per hour. For example: For a one-hour class you are expected to be onsite 15 min before the start of the program and 15 min after the program for clean-up. $44 is the rate for the entirety of the session. There is some compensation for travel in addition to your class rate.
