Physician - Hospitalist


Job Details:

  • On-site coverage position with availability needed for weekends and nights

  • Shift times include: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, 12:00 PM - 12:00 AM, 5:00 PM - 5:00 AM, and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

  • No call involvement required

  • Providers round on an average of 20 patients per day with an overall daily census of 200-220 patients

  • Individual physician census ranges from 18-22 patients; APP census ranges from 12-15 patients

  • Dedicated admitters handle all admissions and consults; rounders have no admission responsibilities

  • ICU rounding is not required as the ICU is a closed unit

  • No procedures or ventilator management required

  • Large mix of patient population as expected at a tertiary facility with approximately 520 beds

  • Level 1 Trauma Center with all typical ancillary support staff available

  • 7-8 physicians staffed daily for day shifts, including site chief or assistant site chief

  • Grand rounds held every Tuesday covering all patients on each floor, along with daily centralized MDRs

  • Experienced providers with inpatient hospitalist experience preferred

  • Must have active Colorado licensure at time of presentation; IMLC is not accepted
