Hospitalist Physician (MD/DO) Inpatient Coverage - Western New York

Assignment Overview

  • Location: Gloversville, NY

  • Start Date: May (ASAP)

  • Length of Need: 3 6 months ongoing

  • Setting: Inpatient Hospital Medicine

  • Facility Size: 75-bed hospital

  • EMR: Meditech Expanse

  • Privileges: Temporary privileges available for clean files

Practice Environment

  • Collaborative hospitalist program

  • Typical staffing model:

    • 4 Hospitalist Physicians

    • 2 Advanced Practice Providers

  • Open ICU with pulmonary support available

  • Procedures not required

Clinical Responsibilities

  • Inpatient admissions and rounding

  • Participate in patient care management across medical floors

  • Respond to Code Blue and Rapid Response Team (RRT) events

  • Collaborate with APPs, consulting specialists, and pulmonary support as needed

Requirements

  • Board Certified Internal Medicine (ABIM) or Family Medicine (ABFM)

  • Active New York License and DEA required at name clear

  • ACLS certification required

  • Minimum 2 years of hospitalist experience
