Join a well-established cancer program with a balanced inpatient/outpatient practice and no call responsibilities. Memorial Regional Medical Center is seeking a Board-Certified Hematology/Oncology physician to provide ongoing locum coverage due to an open physician vacancy.

- Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
- No Weekends
- No Call

- Mixed Inpatient and Outpatient Hematology/Oncology
- Adult and Geriatric patient population
- Approximately 70% Oncology / 30% Hematology
- No Internal Medicine responsibilities
- Average clinic patients per day
- Average 2 8 inpatient consults/rounding patients per day
- Solo physician practice
- No APP support
- EMR: Epic
- Trauma Level III facility
- 225-bed hospital
- Temporary privileges available in approximately 3 14 days after completed application submission
- Full credentialing typically completed within 2 3 months
- Board Certified in Medical Oncology (Required)
- Board Certified in Hematology (Highly Preferred)
- Active Virginia Medical License (Required)
- BLS Certification (Required)
- Ability to provide COI coverage of $2.6M/$7.8M if requested by the facility
This opportunity is best suited for a Hematology/Oncology physician seeking a predictable weekday schedule with no call burden while maintaining a mix of clinic and inpatient responsibilities in a community-based cancer program.
Setting: % outpatient clinic with light inpatient consult/rounding responsibilities.
Work Environment: Community hospital cancer center serving both hematology and oncology patients with strong support from hospital services and Epic EMR.
