Job Title: Locum Physician - Hematology Oncology in Mechanicsville, VA

The Cancer Institute at Memorial Regional Medical Center in Mechanicsville, VA is actively seeking a Locum Hematology/Oncology Physician for immediate and ongoing coverage. This state-of-the-art facility serves a diverse patient population and offers both inpatient and outpatient services. The role involves a collaborative practice environment focused on adult and geriatric care, with a balanced mix of oncology and hematology cases.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive hematology and oncology care to adult and geriatric patients.
• Manage both inpatient and outpatient cases within a dynamic practice setting.
• Conduct patient consultations and follow-up visits, ensuring high-quality care.
• Participate in on-call responsibilities during assigned shifts, including weekends.
• Utilize Epic EMR for patient documentation and management.
• Collaborate with the existing physician to support patient care delivery.
• Travel for this position is fully compensated, ensuring convenience for the locum physician.

Qualifications:

• Board Certified in Medical Oncology (Required).
• Board Certification in Hematology (Highly Preferred).
• Active Virginia Medical License (Required).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Required).
• COI coverage of $2.6M/$7.8M (Required if requested by the facility).

License and Certification Requirements:

• Valid and unrestricted Virginia medical license.
• Board Certification in Medical Oncology.
• Current BLS certification.
