  • 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
  • Must remain until the final chemotherapy/biotherapy treatment is completed each day
  • Locums-to-permanent transition required
Licenses Required
  • Active Louisiana NP License Required
  • Compact License Accepted
Required Certifications
  • BLS Required
  • Chemotherapy Certification Required
Experience Required
  • 3-5 years of Hematology/Oncology NP experience Required
  • Must be comfortable managing complex oncology patients with multiple comorbidities
Practice Details
  • High-volume Hematology/Oncology outpatient practice
  • Average 10-12 patients per day
  • Patient visits include:
    • Treatment visits
    • Follow-up appointments
    • Some new patient consultations
  • Full patient panel management
  • Significant care coordination responsibilities
  • No inpatient rounding
  • No hospital consult call
Call Details
  • Minimal call responsibility
  • Saturday clinic call rotation:
    • Approximately 8:00 AM-12:00 PM
    • About once every 3 months
Support Staff
  • Medical Oncology Physicians:
    • 1 Full-Time Physician
    • 1 Part-Time Physician
  • Nurse Practitioner team
  • Outpatient infusion staff
Practice Setting
  • Clinic-based oncology practice
  • Outpatient infusion suite
  • Infusion capacity available onsite
