Position Summary

Morehouse School of Medicine (MSM) invites applications for a full-time Headache Medicine Neurologist to join the Department of Neurology. This academic faculty position offers a unique opportunity to develop and expand a comprehensive Headache Medicine program, provide exceptional care to Veterans, and educate the next generation of neurologists.

The successful candidate will provide outpatient headache care, participate in resident education, and help build specialty headache services within a collaborative academic environment. Faculty appointments are available at the Assistant, Associate, or Professor level, commensurate with experience.

Position Highlights

  • Build and expand a comprehensive Headache Medicine program.
  • Provide evidence-based care for patients with migraine, chronic daily headache, trigeminal autonomic cephalalgias, and other primary and secondary headache disorders.
  • Perform advanced headache procedures, including botulinum toxin injections, peripheral nerve blocks, and trigger point injections.
  • Collaborate with Primary Care, Pain Medicine, Behavioral Health, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, and other specialties to deliver multidisciplinary care.
  • Supervise neurology residents in continuity clinic and specialty headache clinics.
  • Teach medical students and residents through clinical instruction and didactic conferences.
  • Participate in clinical research, quality improvement, and program development based on individual interests.
  • Contribute to departmental initiatives that advance health equity, access to neurological care, and academic excellence.

Qualifications

Required

  • MD or DO degree
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology
  • Fellowship training in Headache Medicine or demonstrated expertise in headache management
  • Eligible for unrestricted Georgia medical licensure

Preferred

  • Experience with botulinum toxin therapy and headache procedures
  • Interest in resident education and academic medicine
  • Clinical research or quality improvement experience
  • Commitment to caring for diverse and underserved patient populations
