Position Details:

  • Location: Potsdam, NY
  • Setting: Acute Care Hospital
  • Start Date: June 29, 2026
  • Duration: Ongoing (weekly blocks through August, potential extension)
  • Schedule:
    • 24-hour call coverage (7 AM 7 AM)
    • Monday Friday: Office + procedures during call
    • Office Hours: 8:00 AM 4:00 PM
    • Procedure Hours: 7:30 AM 3:30 PM

Compensation:

  • Rate: $3,200/day

Clinical Responsibilities:

  • Perform upper & lower endoscopies (EGD, colonoscopy)
  • Manage inpatient and outpatient GI cases
  • Diagnose and treat digestive system disorders
  • Collaborate with NP, anesthesia team, and support staff

Facility & Team:

  • 1 Physician + 1 NP + 1 LPN
  • Dedicated anesthesia support for procedures
  • EMR: Epic
  • Patient Population: Adult (moderate to high acuity)
  • Patient Load: patients/day

Requirements:

  • Board Certified Gastroenterologist
  • Active NY License (Required )
  • AHA BLS & ACLS Certifications
  • Minimum 2 years of recent experience
  • Strong experience with upper & lower scopes
  • Epic experience preferred
