Gastroenterology Physician

Position Overview:
We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Gastroenterologist for a locum tenens opportunity in an outpatient setting. The provider will be responsible for performing general GI procedures and seeing patients in a clinical setting.

Location: Duluth + Sandy Springs + Jonesboro + Kennesaw, Georgia

Practice Details:

• Setting: Outpatient only
• Schedule:
  • Procedures: 7:30 AM - 3:00 PM
  • Clinic: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Monday - Friday
• Patients per day: 12
• EMR: Epic
• Coverage Type: Scheduled clinical hours only

Site Coverage:

• Provider will be required to cover 4 different sites

Procedures Required (General GI Only):

• Upper GI endoscopy (with biopsy, foreign body removal, bleeding control, variceal injection)
• PEG tube placement
• Esophageal dilation and manometry interpretation
• Small bowel biopsy
• Colonoscopy (with biopsy and polyp removal)
• Sigmoidoscopy
• Liver biopsy
• Other standard general GI procedures

Not Required:

• ERCP
• EUS

Requirements:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology
• Active Georgia license required
• Must be comfortable with general GI procedures

Additional Details:

• No call required
• No inpatient duties
• No supervision of APPs
• Credentialing timeframe: 21 days
