A healthcare organization in South Central Montana is seeking a Board Eligible or Board Certified Gastroenterologist for a long-term locum tenens assignment with the potential for permanent placement. This outpatient-only opportunity offers a four-day workweek, dedicated procedure time, no call, and the opportunity to supervise advanced practice providers.

Assignment Details- Setting: Outpatient Gastroenterology
- Start Date: ASAP
- Contract: Ongoing
- Credentialing: Approximately 90 days
- Schedule: Four-day workweek
- Clinical Time: Outpatient clinic with one dedicated procedure day
- Call: None
- Hospital Coverage: None
- EMR: Cerner
- Evaluate and manage patients with gastrointestinal disorders in an outpatient setting
- Perform upper and lower endoscopic procedures as appropriate
- Perform biopsies, polypectomies, esophageal dilation, PEG placement, and other gastrointestinal procedures based on clinical expertise
- Coordinate patient care with referring providers and multidisciplinary teams
- Supervise advanced practice providers
- Document patient care using Cerner
- MD or DO
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Gastroenterology
- Completion of an accredited Gastroenterology fellowship
- Active Montana medical license or willingness to obtain one
- Current BLS certification
- Current ABLS certification
- Comfortable supervising advanced practice providers
- Interest in a potential permanent opportunity preferred
- Eligible for hospital credentialing
